  • SEO Scholars
    SEO Scholars is a free, eight-year, academic program that gets low-income public high school students to and through college–with a 90% college graduation rate. 100% of SEO Scholars are accepted to four-year colleges, with 85% being first-generation college graduates. More than 75% of current SEO Scholars are attending colleges and universities in a top-100 U.S. News & World reporting.

  • Brown Scholars (AMNH) (If you identify as a girl) Three-part program: 120 hours of coursework across three classes, 9-month paid internship, career, and college colloquium.

  • College Now
    College Now is a collaboration between the City University of New York (CUNY) and the DOE that prepares public high school students for success in college in addition to being able to earn college credits.

    The College Now program focuses on courses for college credit and other enrichment activities in the humanities, arts, social sciences, sciences and mathematics, all taught by full-time or adjunct faculty.

  • Mission: introduce high school students of varying skill levels to the rigors and rewards of higher education by connecting them to high-quality scholarship and instruction. All NYC Public High School students participate for free.

  • College Access Leadership Institute (NYU)     ​For rising juniors and seniors to demystify the college admissions process. The program runs through July. Fee waivers are available. 

  • New York Historical Society. Student Historian Internship Program                            Conduct exciting research, meet with professionals to learn about careers in the museum, library, and history fields. Work and develop public speaking and leadership skills. May be offered stipend, community service hours, or school credit.

  • ARISE (Applied Research Innovations in Science and Engineering)
    Free program for academically motivated, current 10th and 11th students who are academically motivated with a demonstrated interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). 7 week program: research experience in NYU faculty labs, mentoring, and $500 stipend.

 

  • Sadie Nash Leadership Project
    Promoting leadership and activism among young people. strengthening, empowering, and equipping young women and gender-expansive youth as agents for change in their lives and in the world

12th Grade

  • Ascend Educational Fund Scholarships
    Ascend Educational Fund awards scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $20,000 to immigrant students and children of immigrants who are graduating from a New York City high school to attend public or private colleges and universities, regardless of ethnicity, national origin, or immigration status.
    Applications open on November 2nd
